Job summary

Adecco Portugal in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its Personal Injury team. You will manage a caseload of litigated Pursuer RTA claims and progress files efficiently while maintaining excellent client care.

The role involves drafting pleadings, coordinating with insurers and court personnel, and meeting deadlines in a busy hybrid environment. A strong focus on communication and detail is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Personal Injury litigation environment.
• Experience managing own caseload.
• Strong knowledge of the Scottish litigation process.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
• Strong client care and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 60-80 litigated Pursuer RTA claims.
• Progress claims from medical evidence stage through to settlement.
• Draft court pleadings, motions, and other legal documentation.
• Prepare and submit court productions and supporting documentation.
• Assess and calculate clients' losses and supporting evidence.
• Conduct liability and quantum reviews.
• Negotiate settlements with insurers and third-party representatives.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring exceptional levels of client care.
• Liaise with medical agencies, counsel, court personnel, insurers and other stakeholders.
• Ensure all files are progressed in line with court deadlines and internal procedures.
• Accurately update the case management system and maintain file records.
• Identify matters requiring escalation to a Solicitor or Team Leader.
• Contribute positively to team objectives and departmental performance.
