Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland is inviting applications for an operational leader to join the Highland Hub management team in Inverness. You will provide leadership and line management for a team of Hub Controllers delivering a around-the-clock call centre service, ensuring the right care is accessed at the right time.

The role is offered on a part-time basis with a job-share arrangement (16 hours over two day shifts and 20 hours over two back/night shifts).

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on operational leader to join the management team within the Highland Hub. This is an important role, which contributes to patients being able to access the right care at the right time.

You will provide leadership and line management for a team of Hub Controllers providing a 24/7 call centre service and will be expected to be operationally proficient in the Hub Controller role.

The Highland Hub provides the single point of contact for Key Stakeholders and Integrated Services including NHS Highland: Out of Hours Services, Telecare and Staff bank, NHS24 and other health care professionals.

The department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You will work a rotating shift pattern covering a range of shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays.

This post can be offered on a job-share basis, 16 hours over two day shifts and 20 hours over two back/night shifts. Hours may be adjusted to suit the successful candidate.
