Job summary

Atari seeks a Royalties Manager to own end-to-end royalty statements, validate revenue shares and deductions, and coordinate across accounting, legal, and business development. You will ensure timely, accurate royalty reporting for licensors, licensees, and partners, driving consistency and strong controls across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience managing royalties, licensing finance, revenue share reporting or a closely related function in media and entertainment; games experience preferred.
• Strong ability to interpret commercial contracts and translate terms into accurate financial calculations.
• Experience owning recurring reporting or payment cycles where accuracy and deadlines matter.
• Audit-minded approach to reviewing numbers, documenting decisions, and identifying exceptions.
• Sound judgment and critical thinking; challenge information that doesn’t look right until understood.
• Strong follow-through across teams to keep work moving to completion.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end preparation, review and timely submission of royalty statements to licensors, developers, publishers and third-party partners.
• Receive and review royalty statements and payments from licensees to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Act as primary contact for royalty-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Validate game sales, revenue shares, deductions, recoupment positions and royalties against agreements.
• Read and interpret royalty provisions in contracts and investigate discrepancies or unusual movements.
• Maintain supporting documentation, reconciliations, evidence and internal controls for all royalty activity.
• Coordinate with accounting, publishing, business development and legal teams to obtain reliable data and resolve open items.
• Oversee royalty management for all Atari studios globally and standardize processes across the organization.
• Support royalty-related accounting including accruals, forecasts, payment prep and audits.
• Be central contact for royalty questions and ensure issues are followed through to resolution.
• Identify opportunities to automate and standardize royalty processes across entities and reporting cycles.
• Contribute to a stronger control environment by documenting processes and testing key controls.
