Job summary

First Call Contract Services Limited in Crawley is seeking a Royal Mail Delivery Driver for Christmas temporary work. You will deliver letters and small parcels to homes and businesses, working outdoors in all weather and handling rounds with a manual vehicle.

You must hold a full UK manual driving licence, be physically fit, and be flexible to work rotating shifts from 7am to 9pm, seven days a week. DBS check is required and you will be responsible for paying it.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence.
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences, with no IN, DD or DR endorsements.
• Physical fitness for walking and handling mail around the round.
• Reliable and flexible to operate rotating shifts.

Hours and shifts

You must be flexible to work rotating shifts between 7am and 9pm, Monday to Sunday, including weekends.

What you’ll do

• Sort letters and small parcels before starting your round
• Complete vehicle safety checks
• Drive a company manual vehicle and make deliveries on foot
• Deliver letters and small parcels to homes and businesses
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions

What you’ll need

• A full, valid UK manual driving licence
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences, with no IN, DD or DR endorsements
• Physical fitness for walking and carrying mail throughout your round
• A reliable approach and flexibility to work rotating shifts
• Confidence driving a company manual vehicle
