Job summary

Oceaneering International Inc. in Aberdeen seeks an Offshore ROV technician responsible for operating Remotely Operated Vehicles, subsea tooling, IWOCS and RWOCS systems in a safe and efficient manner.

The role requires maintaining and repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, and performing troubleshooting under offshore conditions. Passport and offshore credentials are required to work in this environment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED, Technical/Associates degree preferred.
• 12 months of formal mechanical and hydraulic training and 12 months of formal electrical and electronics training; or combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to obtain a valid Passport and any other offshore work requirement documents as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment including ROVs, IWOCS/RWOCS, and tooling safely.
• Maintain and repair electrical, electronics, mechanical and hydraulic systems and sub-systems.
• Assist or pilot the ROV, assess environment conditions and hazards.
• Perform maintenance/repairs on electronics, hydraulics, mechanics and test equipment.
• Interface sub-sea navigational equipment and control systems.
• Maintain parts and supplies inventory for assemblies and sub-assemblies.
