Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking an experienced ROV Pilot to operate Remotely Operated Vehicles and supporting subsea tooling in our Europe region. You must reside in the UK with the right to work and hold ROV piloting experience.

You will handle cameras, acoustic positioning, and complex tooling, perform maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient operation of subsea systems. Offshore travel and offshore documentation may be required.

Qualifications

• ROV piloting experience is essential for applying to this opening.
• High School Graduate or GED; Technical/Associates degree preferred.
• 12 months of formal mechanical and hydraulic training and 12 months of formal electrical and electronics training; or a combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment including cameras, positioning systems, sonars, manipulators, LARS, hydraulic power units, and complex subsea tooling.
• Assist or pilot the ROV, assess environment conditions and hazards, dock/undock from tether management system, navigate via acoustics and video.
• Perform maintenance and repair on electronics, hydraulics, mechanics, and test equipment; calibrate and align systems; perform housekeeping and corrosion control.
• Operate hydraulic and electrical-over-hydraulic control systems interacting with pumps and valves.
• Interface subsea navigational equipment such as compass, gyro, transducer, sonar, altimeter, and survey gear.
• Manage and deploy tooling and components associated with the ROV; maintain inventory of parts for assemblies and subassemblies.
