Job summary

Relay operates a centralised data team of analysts, engineers and data scientists to support routing, sortation and operations decisions. You will sit with the Routing & Sortation teams but report into the central data group, collaborating daily with software engineers, warehouse operations, and finance.

The role focuses on monitoring route plans, improving predictive accuracy for parcel arrivals, and building dashboards that reveal the efficiency of routing, sortation and workforce planning.

Qualifications

• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Ability to build and interpret dashboards for operations KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health of nightly route plans and identify issues.
• Predict parcel arrivals and improve prediction rules.
• Flag issues to warehouse managers and retailer teams.
• Monitor route optimization engine and flag regressions.
• Build reporting for routing and sortation performance.
• Investigate cost per parcel and identify savings opportunities.
• Track warehouse operative performance and shift utilization.
• Monitor sorting robot efficiency and capacity.
• Model workforce requirements for shifts.
• Define KPIs and create dashboards for transparency.
