Job summary

Bidfood is seeking a Transport Route Planner in the North East of England. You will plan and optimise driver routes to ensure efficient, compliant and reliable delivery operations, supporting sales and depot KPIs.

Applicants should have strong geographical knowledge and experience with transport planning software (Paragon preferred). You will be a confident decision-maker with excellent organisational and communication skills, joining a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Strong geographical knowledge and understanding of routing constraints.

• Solid grasp of drivers’ hours regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and optimise driver routes using internal systems to improve efficiency.

We’re looking for a Transport Planner to play a key role in ensuring our drivers are routed efficiently, safely and compliantly, helping us deliver the high standards our customers expect.

What you’ll be doing:

• Using internal systems and Paragon to plan and optimise driver routes
• Maximising cases per vehicle in line with depot KPIs
• Working closely with Transport Team Managers and Fleet teams to ensure compliance with drivers’ hours and legislation
• Liaising with sales teams to support customer requirements and service levels
• Ensuring routes are efficient, practical and commercially sound
