Job summary

DigiKape Resourcing is recruiting a Rough Sleeper Coordinator to join the Housing Options and Support service in London. You will work with a team to deliver person-centred support and housing pathways for people who are homeless or rough sleeping, collaborating with service providers and commissioners to improve outcomes.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, experience with vulnerable groups, and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders to deliver timely

Qualifications

  • Experience of supporting vulnerable people in busy environments.
  • Good communication, face-to-face, on the phone or in writing.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems and deliver results within tight timeframes.

Responsibilities

  • Work with friendly, collaborative colleagues to improve services for people who are homeless.
  • Assist Housing Options to develop and manage partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders and residents.
  • Engage with commissioned and contract service providers delivering frontline support and housing solutions.
  • Help ensure accommodation and support pathways address diverse needs safely and effectively.
  • Support delivery of a person-centred approach to prevent homelessness and rough sleeping.

You will have demonstrable experience of supporting vulnerable people in a busy environment. A team player, you have great communication and relationship building skills, whether face-to-face, on the phone or in writing. Youll bring to the role excellent organisational skills, a flair for identifying and resolving problems and experience of delivering results within challenging timeframes. Experience of working with computerised record keeping is also vital. A self-developer, youre keen to learn and grow along with our services. Job Role :

You will work alongside friendly, highly skilled and collaborative colleagues who share your commitment to improving services for vulnerable people who are homeless. Together, the Rough Sleeping Team ensures support and accommodation pathways are person-centred, accessible and high quality.

Youll discover an environment in which people are ambitious and inspired to meet challenges by embracing new ways of working. At London Borough of Waltham Forest youll get involved in making change happen through creative service improvements. Youll support managers to develop and manage new partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders and residents.

Youll actively engage with and support commissioned and contract service providers who deliver frontline support services, accommodation and person-led housing solutions. Well look to you to help make sure our accommodation and support pathways address the needs of different groups, many of whom have complex and challenging needs, safely and effectively. Specifically, youll help us deliver a focus through all our services to prevent homelessness and rough sleeping.

A personalised approach to support for people who are rough sleeping experienced or are homeless is at the heart of our mission. Youll work with service providers and commissioners to develop this approach. Youll also collaborate with them to find solutions for delivering enhanced services and support a wide take-up of our accommodation offer. Crucially, youll support our Housing Options Operations Managers to ensure our delivery models meet the diverse physical and mental health needs of people who are sleeping rough in the borough.
