Barts Health NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity for a band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our rotation at Whipps Cross Hospital (starting in the acute setting).
All applicants should be qualified SLTs, who are independent in the assessment and management of adults with dysphagia and communication impairment.
This rotation offers an excellent opportunity for existing band 6s or experienced band 5s seeking increased responsibility. It allows you to consolidate your skills in managing complex patients with acquired swallowing and communication impairments across inpatient and community settings, within a friendly and supportive team.
Opportunities to develop competencies in videofluoroscopy, tracheostomy, FEES, and leadership and management skills (such as supervising band 5 SLTs and students) are available.
Regular supervision and in-house training will be provided, including joint assessments and formal 1:1 supervision. There are also excellent CPD opportunities within the SLT service and the wider multidisciplinary team.
