About this role

Are you a graduate physiotherapist looking for an opportunity to develop your acute skills? Are you HCPC registered, or will you be by the end of the year? Do you want to play a key role in improving the experience of our patients? Do you want to be part of an innovative and highly motivated Physiotherapy team, making positive changes happen daily?

This opportunity at Scarborough and Bridlington offers the chance to experience clinical practice in acute and rehabilitation settings covering the Elderly, Medicine, Orthopaedic, Surgery, stroke rehabilitation and ED rotations. You will be based within one of our rotational roles within the team and will work alongside enthusiastic and experienced clinical teams who support your postgraduate development at a pace to suit your needs.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide patient care across acute and rehabilitation settings, including Elderly, Medicine, Orthopaedic, Surgery, stroke rehabilitation and ED rotations.
  • Support staff and students; lead service development projects and maintain high quality patient care.
  • Participate in structured support processes, including clinical and managerial supervision, and explore further learning opportunities.
  • Engage with peer support from senior clinicians in Scarborough and wider AHP peer support within the York Trust.
  • Attend practical and simulation‑based on‑call training programmes with bite‑sized sessions available throughout the year.
Preceptorship Programme

We offer a Multi‑Professional Preceptorship Programme to all newly registered practitioners. The 12‑month programme includes assignments with a preceptee who will support, coach, mentor and guide you through regular meetings alongside a structured learning programme.

DBS Checks

All new employees starting work with us will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if required. Charges are £27.38 for a standard check and £55.38 for an enhanced check, deducted from salary in one payment or over six months. Volunteers and bank‑only staff will not be charged.
