The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Technician (or Pre-registration soon to qualify) to join our Pharmacy Team. Based mainly at Pinderfields Hospital, you'll dispense medicines for in-patients and support ward-based medicines management across the Trust.
You will gain experience in dispensing for clinical trials and controlled drugs, work within the Technical Services department on chemotherapy, IV and TPN preparations, and train nursing staff on medicine
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, well-motivated qualified Pharmacy Technician (or a Pre-registration Pharmacy Technician due to qualify soon) to join our friendly, progressive, Pharmacy Team.
Duties include dispensing for in-patients including clinical trials and controlled drugs in the dispensary and delivering a high-quality ward-based medicines management service to a multitude of areas throughout the Trust. You will also gain experience from working in our busy Technical Services department preparing chemotherapy, intravenous and TPN preparations.
The successful candidate will be based mainly at Pinderfields Hospital, the largest of our three hospital sites, but will also be required to work across the Trust at Pontefract Hospital and Dewsbury and District Hospital.
