Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join a rotation across three hospitals: Wansbeck General, NSEC in Cramlington, and North Tyneside General. The role offers development across stroke, mental health, A&E, rheumatology and falls, with supervision and a clear competency framework.

Travel between sites is required, with some weekend work as hours move to 8am–8pm.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in OT is required.
• State registration with HCPC is essential.

Responsibilities

• To work within a specialised team which is under the operational management of the Head OT.
• To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership to shape a collective leadership culture.
• To undertake OT assessments and interventions.
• To manage a defined caseload using evidence-based clinical reasoning.
• To deliver a quality service and respond to referrals within a timely manner.
• To lead discharge planning through assessment and outcomes analysis.
