Job summary

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Crewe is seeking a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join a rotational service. The role includes rotation through Orthopaedic, Cardio/Respiratory, DART, REACT, Stroke Inpatients and community settings, with supervision and opportunities to develop new skills.

You will assess patients, plan treatment, and work within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. A HCPC registration or application and driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
• Broad NHS placements experience.
• HCPC registration or applying for HCPC registration.

Responsibilities

• To undertake assessment of patients with a wide range of conditions and work as autonomous clinicians under supervision as required.
• To work with the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcome for the patient.
• To maintain CPD through professional development and portfolio.
• To contribute to discharge planning and community work where applicable.
• To maintain accurate clinical documentation and report to referring agents and agencies.
• To contribute to service improvements and participate in supervision and education of students.
