Job summary

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Alsager is seeking a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join a rotational community and inpatient program. You will support education and supervision, work across Nantwich, Sandbach, Crewe, Winsford and Northwich, and participate in a 7-day urgent care rota as competencies grow.

The role emphasises MDT collaboration, complex caseloads, discharge planning and avoiding unnecessary admissions, with flexible, laptop-enabled remote working where possible.

Qualifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC and RCOT registration.
• Experience in NHS settings and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Computer literacy with MS Office and related tools.
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload across rotations including acute, community and inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with MDT and supervise junior therapy staff and assistants.
• Discharge planning and hospital admission avoidance.
• Participate in a 7-day service rota as competencies allow.
