Job summary

Bromley Healthcare CIC seeks a Band 5 Occupational Therapist for its Adult Rotational Programme across North and South Community Health Locality Teams and borough services. You will perform autonomous assessments, develop intervention plans and manage risk in homes, inpatient rehab and possibly virtual settings.

You will supervise rehab assistants and students, maintain HCPC-compliant records, and collaborate with a wide MDT to optimize patient care and recovery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC registration.
• Experience in a broad range of clinical settings and MDT teamwork.
• Car driver (eligibility).
• Evidence of CPD.

Responsibilities

• Carry out autonomous occupational therapy assessments and develop evidence-based intervention plans.
• Assess and manage clinical risk, ensuring safe and timely interventions.
• Review and adapt treatment plans and plan safe discharge.
• Prescribe, deliver, fit and adjust equipment and minor or major adaptations.
• Screen for cognitive impairment under supervision and escalate concerns.
• Complete seating assessments under supervision and prescribe measures.
• Engage with service users, families and carers with empathy.
• Keep accurate records to HCPC and Bromley Healthcare standards.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team and coordinate care with referrers.
• Support and supervise rehab assistants and therapy students.
• Contribute to audit, evaluation and service development.
