Job summary

Freyrecruitment is seeking a Rotational Engineer for a 50m+ sailing yacht currently refitting in Falmouth, UK. The role covers installation, commissioning and sea trials during the 10:10 rotation, then maintenance and spares management on passage and cruising itineraries.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience on large sailing yachts, with strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical skills, plus fault-finding and refit exposure. PLC/SCADA familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience on large sailing yachts with strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical skills.
• Proven fault-finding ability and prior refit experience.
• Familiarity with PLC/SCADA controls is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own yacht machinery and technical systems onboard.
• Assist with installations, commissioning and sea trials during the refit.
• Provide planned and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting and spares management when sailing.
