Job summary

Candidates must hold STCW Chief Engineer certification and ENG1, with at least 3 years of near-coastal vessel experience, and be able to mobilise within 3 hours of notification.

Qualifications

• Must hold STCW Chief Engineer certification and ENG1 medical certificate.
• Minimum of 3 years managing engineering operations for near coastal vessels.
• Ability to mobilise to South East England within 3 hours of alert.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the engineering department's operations and compliance with regulatory standards (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL).
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance during the voyage.
• Oversee the Second Engineer and deck personnel assisting with machinery operations.
• Monitor fuel, oil, water, and power management systems.
• Ensure immediate response to machinery or technical failures.
