The Nutrition and Dietetics Service at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is expanding, and we are pleased to offer this opportunity to join our team.
We seek an innovative individual motivated by MDT working, keen to work in a growing department as a band 5 dietitian. The role primarily involves working with inpatients in elderly care, trauma and orthopaedics, or general medicine, with additional clinical attachments across surgery, stroke, medicine, gastroenterology, and oncology, plus one community rotation. All band 5 roles include outpatient elements and are supported by senior staff and peers.
This is an exciting time to join our service, especially with our upcoming move to the new Midlands Metropolitan University Hospital, offering numerous development opportunities.
The post provides broad experience across the service, with six-month attachments tailored to your needs, focusing on your preferred specialty or a broad department-wide experience. Our attachments align with the BDA preceptorship, supporting professional development, peer support, and access to external training, including the Black Country preceptorship program for newly qualified professionals.
