Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Dietitian interested in a rotational Band 6 position within a busy acute setting. The role offers opportunities to develop both general and specialist skills across multiple inpatient specialties, working within multidisciplinary teams. The rotations include Orthopaedics and Surgery, Oncology and Nutrition Support, and Stroke and Older Peoples Medicine.

The position includes leadership responsibilities such as supervising junior staff and contributing to staff and service development. The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills, team working abilities, and a positive outlook.

Although based at Whipps Cross University Hospital, you will collaborate with colleagues across the trust to develop the dietetic service and enhance clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective and specialist dietetic services across various specialties as part of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Support the development of the dietetic service at Whipps Cross Hospital.
  • Supervise junior staff and students.
  • Engage in research and audit to ensure evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

  • BSc Nutrition & Dietetics or relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Qualification in area of specialization or significant experience.
  • HCPC registration.

Experience

  • Post-registration clinical experience in a relevant setting.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Evidence of commitment to CPD.

Knowledge

  • Understanding of personal learning needs and development.

Skills

  • Experience supervising students and junior staff.
