Are you a Dietitian with an interest in moving into a rotational Band 6 position in a busy acute setting? Do you want to expand your general and specialist skills across multiple inpatient specialties, working as part of multidisciplinary teams? If so, Barts Health is recruiting a motivated and dynamic individual to join our friendly team of Dietitians at Whipps Cross University Hospital (WCUH), located in the heart of East London with a diverse population.

The Rotations Within This Post Will Include:
  1. Orthopaedics and Surgery
  2. Oncology and Nutrition Support
  3. Stroke and Older People’s Medicine

This position offers an opportunity to build a solid clinical foundation, with development opportunities in management and leadership skills. The role includes a well-supported leadership component, involving line management of junior team members, supervision, and student training. There will also be a focus on staff and service development to complement the clinical duties.

We are seeking a candidate with strong clinical and team-working skills, a positive outlook, and resilience to join our friendly team. While based at WCUH, you will collaborate with colleagues across other Barts Health NHS Trust sites to develop the dietetic service. The diverse specialties across hospital sites provide excellent support and opportunities for learning and skill development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Function as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team to provide effective and specialist dietetic services, contributing to patient outcomes.
  • Support the dietetic team in developing and delivering inpatient services at Whipps Cross Hospital.
  • Supervise junior staff on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensure research and audit are regularly undertaken to ensure evidence-based practice.
