Job summary

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Rotational Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at Watford General Hospital.

The role offers the opportunity to develop expertise across clinical specialties including medicine, surgery, care of the elderly, and acute admissions, with rotations through Medicines Information, Technical and patient services. You will provide pharmaceutical care from admission to discharge and contribute to audits and patient education.

Qualifications

• Rotational clinical pharmacist experience preferred.
• Registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing pharmaceutical care to patients from admission to discharge on the wards.
• Participating in the multidisciplinary team at ward level.
• Day-to-day collaborations with Medicines Management Technicians.
• Providing prescribing advice and support to junior medical staff.
• Educating patients about their medicines.
• Participation in clinical audit.
