Biffa Waste Services in the United Kingdom is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure plant availability through proactive and reactive maintenance, carrying out PPMs and process improvements to meet engineering, compliance and HSE standards.

The role involves diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, implementing preventative maintenance programmes, and coordinating with external contractors while keeping up-to-date with health and environmental legislation.

Formación

• Engineering qualifications NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Desirable - Additional relevant qualifications.

Responsabilidades

• Provide high operational availability, and an efficient breakdown repair service. Diagnose running faults and ensure effective repairs and improvements are conducted within minimum time scale.
• Develop and implement a programme of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimise downtime, provide records of recurrent faulting and develop engineered solutions to these issues.
• Carry out minor maintenance operations to plant and equipment.
• To liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance work.
• Keep abreast of changes to health & safety and environmental legislation and company policies to ensure defined standards and best practice are implemented.

Maintenance Technician

Salary: £41,841 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off, rotating days and nights.

Day shifts: 7:00am – 7:00pm Night shifts: 7:00pm – 7:00am

A quick look at the role

The role holder will be responsible for driving plant availability through ensuring all PPM’s, reactive maintenance, engineering, and process improvements are carried out and implemented in a timely manner. The role holder will drive best practice on a daily basis through high engineering, compliance and H&S standards.
