Job summary

Swift Referrals is a UK veterinary referral hospital seeking a Rotating Registered Veterinary Nurse for a 12-month contract in Leeds. You will deliver advanced nursing care to complex cases and support multidisciplinary teams from admission to discharge.

This part-time role offers 30 hours across 3 days, with a weekend rota and TOIL. Registration with the RCVS and substantial surgical nursing experience are essential, along with strong communication and a commitment to evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse is required.
• Significant clinical experience with advanced nursing skills relevant to surgery and referral care.
• Experience with surgical cases in a referral or advanced-care setting.
• Strong communication and team-work abilities.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced nursing care to complex cases within a referral hospital.
• Support multidisciplinary teams and clinical decision-making.
• Assist across surgery, internal medicine, wards, imaging, theatre prep and anaesthesia monitoring.
• Provide ward nursing including care for critical patients and rehabilitation.
• Support patient admission through discharge and assist with emergencies as needed.
