Job summary

VC Evidensia UK is seeking a Rotating Registered Veterinary Nurse at Swift Referrals in Wetherby on a 12 month fixed-term contract. This role covers orthopaedics, neurology, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery.

You will deliver advanced nursing care in a referral hospital, support clinical decision-making, and work across disciplines. The role includes a 30-hour week over 3 days, with a weekend rota and TOIL.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Nurse with RCVS registration and clinical practice experience.
• Significant experience with anesthesia, surgery, and complex cases.
• Strong communication and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced nursing care to complex cases in a referral hospital.
• Support clinical decision-making and patient outcomes across disciplines.
• Assist with anesthesia monitoring, surgery prep, and ward care.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including imaging and orthopaedics.
• Provide compassionate client support and education.
