Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a Veterinary Referral Rotating Nurse to join our multidisciplinary referral hospital on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. You will rotate two days per week in imaging and two days across Neurology, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Surgery and Wards.

You will deliver advanced nursing care within a specialist referral service and work with experienced clinicians to continually improve standards.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Significant experience in clinical practice with advanced nursing skills relevant to referral settings.
• Experience working with complex medical or surgical cases in a referral or advanced-care setting.

Responsibilities

• Support anaesthesia, procedures and referral-level diagnostic imaging, including x-ray positioning.
• Carry out diagnostic sampling, laboratory work and patient monitoring (ECG and blood pressure) across species.
• Provide high standards of inpatient care and maintain infection control practices.
• Coordinate with clinicians and nursing teams to schedule procedures and support efficient patient workflow.
