Job summary

Centrica plc in Hull to support rotating equipment operations within the Engineering team, providing technical support to operations, projects and maintenance. Focus areas include installed gas turbine systems, compressors and pumps, with offshore exposure possible.

Qualifications

HND/HNC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Oil & gas experience in COMAH operational site with packaged equipment.
Logical problem solving with broad mechanical skills.
Ability to work independently.
Strong communication in multi-disciplinary teams.
Technical report writing.

Responsibilities

Participate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies.
Participate in MoC risk assessments, proposing changes or evaluating implications.
Define and manage small rotating equipment project scopes through third parties.
Investigate operational issues (production losses, safety events) and propose solutions.
Produce and update maintenance standard procedures for rotating/packaged equipment.
Review and respond to IVB observations.
Review and comment on project workscopes related to rotating and packaged equipment.
Participate in internal audits and technical assurance to standards and procedures.
