Job summary

Centrica plc is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering professional to support the Electrical Technical Authority across Centrica Gas Infrastructure assets. The role involves onshore/offshore sites, with a mix of office and home-based work, travelling to offshore facilities as required.

The ideal candidate has extensive electrical engineering experience in Oil & Gas, a degree in electrical engineering (Chartered status desirable), and strong risk management and leadership skills to guide

Qualifications

  • Experience in electrical engineering within Oil & Gas or related major hazard industries, onshore and offshore.
  • Experience in design and specification of electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
  • COMPEX Ex12 module preferred.
  • A degree in electrical engineering is essential or equivalent experience.
  • Chartered Engineer status desirable.
  • Strong leadership and communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical databases and ensure Ex equipment is registered and maintained.
  • Carry out electrical authorisation assessments for Electrical Technical Authority.
  • Develop and maintain discipline technical strategies and standards.
  • Support design, construction and commissioning stages of projects.
  • Provide 24/7 incident support and participate in HS&E initiatives.
