Job summary

Centrica plc is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering professional to support the Electrical Technical Authority across Centrica Gas Infrastructure assets. The role involves onshore/offshore sites, with a mix of office and home-based work, travelling to offshore facilities as required.

The ideal candidate has extensive electrical engineering experience in Oil & Gas, a degree in electrical engineering (Chartered status desirable), and strong risk management and leadership skills to guide

Qualifications

Experience in electrical engineering within Oil & Gas or related major hazard industries, onshore and offshore.
Experience in design and specification of electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
COMPEX Ex12 module preferred.
A degree in electrical engineering is essential or equivalent experience.
Chartered Engineer status desirable.
Strong leadership and communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Manage electrical databases and ensure Ex equipment is registered and maintained.
Carry out electrical authorisation assessments for Electrical Technical Authority.
Develop and maintain discipline technical strategies and standards.
Support design, construction and commissioning stages of projects.
Provide 24/7 incident support and participate in HS&E initiatives.
