Job summary

NES Fircroft is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to join a leading UK energy operator, supporting critical offshore gas assets in the Southern North Sea. The role involves working on complex mechanical systems, driving reliability improvements, and providing engineering expertise across both onshore and offshore operations.

You will be responsible for supporting the reliability, maintenance, and performance of mechanical equipment including pumps, compressors, valves, piping, pressure vessels,

Qualifications

• Experience in oil & gas or similarly regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment.
• Experience with maintenance, reliability and engineering support.
• Familiarity with Maximo CMMS is advantageous.
• Must reside within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support reliability, maintenance and performance of mechanical equipment.
• Work on pumps, compressors, valves, piping, pressure vessels and generators.
• Provide engineering support across onshore and offshore operations.

NES Fircroft are recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to join a leading UK energy operator supporting critical offshore gas assets in the Southern North Sea.

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex mechanical systems, drive reliability improvements, support major shutdowns, and provide engineering expertise across both onshore and offshore operations.

You’ll be responsible for supporting the reliability, maintenance, and performance of mechanical equipment including pumps, compressors, valves, piping, pressure vessels, and generators.

Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering

Experience within Oil & Gas or another highly regulated industry

Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment

Experience with maintenance, reliability, and engineering support

Familiarity with CMMS systems such as Maximo is advantageous

Must currently reside within the UK to be considered for this opportunity

Contract: Initial 12-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension and PAYE Day Rate
