Job summary

The Enquire Learning Trust is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) for the Roseberry Academy nursery in Great Ayton. You will support the room leader to create a welcoming environment and help children learn through play and exploration.

We require Level 2 Early Years qualification and experience in an early years setting. The role is a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027, term-time weeks, with attending training days and duties aligned to 8.30am–3.15pm sessions.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Early Years required.
• Experience in an early years setting preferred.
• Able to work well in a team and with families.

Responsibilities

• Support the room leader to create an engaging learning environment.
• Assist children's welfare and safety during nursery activities.
• Communicate with parents and families regarding children's progress.

About the role

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and caring team to work within our nursery provision on a daily basis, supporting the children to learn through play and exploration. You will be responsible for supporting the room leader in ensuring the environment is engaging and inviting, supporting children's welfare and communicating with parents and families.

The successful applicant must be reliable and adaptable, have positive attitudes and be able to engage actively in a wide range of activities. The successful candidate will need to show good levels of initiative.
