Job summary

Remedicare in South Bermondsey, South London is recruiting a Room Manager for our Early Years setting. You will lead a team of Early Years Practitioners, oversee daily room operations, plan activities in line with EYFS, and support children's development and safeguarding.

We offer a starting salary of £35,012 per annum, full-time hours, and a comprehensive benefits package including leave, pension, and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Experience leading a team of practitioners.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Early Years Practitioners within your room.
• Oversee day-to-day organisation and smooth running of the room.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS.
• Support children’s development, wellbeing and individual learning needs.
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress and observations.
• Coach and guide colleagues to ensure high-quality care and education.

About the Role

As a Room Manager, you will play an important role in creating a positive environment for both children and staff.

• Leading and supporting a team of Early Years Practitioners within your room
• Taking responsibility for the day-to-day organisation and smooth running of the room
• Providing high-quality care and education in accordance with the EYFS
• Planning and delivering engaging, stimulating and age-appropriate activities
• Supporting children's individual learning, development and wellbeing
• Building positive and trusting relationships with children, parents and carers
• Completing observations and maintaining accurate records of children's progress
• Supporting practitioners with planning and implementing learning opportunities
• Encouraging a positive, inclusive and supportive team environment
• Supporting colleagues through coaching, guidance and constructive feedback
• Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, hygiene and cleanliness
• Working closely with the wider nursery management team
• Helping to create an environment where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to explore
