Kindred Nurseries is seeking a Room Leader to guide a dedicated room team in Edmonton. You will model best practice, safeguard children, and partner with families to deliver high-quality early years education.

Lead by example, coach practitioners, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining accurate records and observations. This role emphasizes supportive leadership and a passion for exceptional childcare.

Qualifications

• Full Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above) required.
• Experience in an Early Years setting is essential.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills required.
• Ability to motivate, support and develop others.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities.

• Support, coach and develop Early Years Practitioners and Apprentices within your room.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Plan and oversee engaging learning experiences that support every child's development.
• Maintain accurate observations, assessments and children's records.
• Support inductions and help new colleagues settle into the Kindred family.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies are followed at all times.
• Work closely with the Nursery Leadership Team to drive continuous improvement across the nursery.

As a Room Leader, you'll lead your room team by example, creating a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where children receive exceptional care and education. You'll support your colleagues to develop their skills while ensuring the highest standards of practice are maintained every day.

You Will:

• Experience working within an Early Years setting.

• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities.

Desirable:

• Previous experience leading a room or small team.
• Current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
• Safeguarding and Child Protection training (full training will be provided).
• Food Hygiene Certificate.
