Dicky Birds Wimbledon Nursery on Dundonald Road is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Room Leader to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

Qualifications

• Caring and enthusiastic Room Leader
• Experience in early years education (EYFS) beneficial
• Ability to supervise and support playroom staff
• Strong communication with parents and carers

Responsibilities

• Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
• Support and supervise playroom staff with day-to-day duties
• Deploy staff to ensure required standards are delivered
• Ensure effective implementation of nursery keycarer procedures
• Allocate children to keycarers appropriately
• Ensure EYFS requirements are met
• Provide feedback to parents about their child
• Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
• Develop positive relationships with staff and parents

Dicky Birds Dundonald Road Day Nursery and Preschool in Wimbledon is a welcoming nursery opposite Dundonald Park. The bright, spacious ground-floor setting with a secure garden provides a safe, nurturing environment where children can explore, play, and learn.

Location and Travel

Dicky Birds Wimbledon Nursery is a 5-minute walk from Wimbledon town and located opposite Dundonald Park, near a primary school for easy access as your child grows. Dicky Birds also operates nurseries in Raynes Park and Surbiton, offering the same warm, nurturing care.

What will you be doing

• Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
• Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
• Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms
• Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately
• Ensure that practiceand provision in the nurserymeets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child
• Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
• Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
• Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
