Job summary

Willing Care Recruitment Limited is seeking a Toddler Room Leader to drive high-quality care in a lively nursery. You’ll lead a room, plan engaging experiences around children’s interests, and support a team to deliver consistent, development-focused learning in indoor and outdoor spaces.

All appointments require safer recruitment checks and DBS clearance; join a team that values safeguarding and strong relationships with parents.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a toddler room or early years team.
• Safeguarding and child welfare awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the toddler room.
• Lead and support practitioners to deliver consistently high-quality care.
• Plan engaging experiences around children's interests and developmental needs.
• Encourage toddlers to build confidence, communication and independence.
• Maintain accurate observations and development records.
• Ensure safeguarding, ratios and nursery procedures are followed consistently.
• Build positive relationships with parents and keep them involved in their child's development.
• Create a happy, well-organised room where children and practitioners can thrive.

Toddlers are busy discovering what they can do – developing language, testing their independence and finding new ways to explore the world around them. This is an opportunity to lead a room designed to give them plenty of space and encouragement to do exactly that.

Recently renovated, this modern and bright nursery has been designed with children at its heart, creating engaging spaces that support learning through play and exploration. Outdoors, children can enjoy dedicated play areas alongside a quiet sensory space, giving them opportunities for both energetic adventures and calmer moments.

As Toddler Room Leader, you’ll set the standard for practice within your room, supporting your team to create meaningful experiences while ensuring each child receives the individual care and attention they need.
