Job Description

This setting is an award-winning nursery chain located in 98 acres of beautiful Essex woodlands, just 1 mile from Brentwood town centre. They are seeking a Room Leader to join their fun nursery in CM13. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 (or higher) qualification and join the baby room.

They offer a 4-day working week, working from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, with a set day off each week.

Responsibilities:
  1. Be responsible as a key person for your own key children.
  2. Ensure all room planning achieves a high level of education for the children.
  3. Create strong parent relationships.
  4. Deliver a range of exciting and enriching activities and experiences for children.
  5. Update children's online learning journals with quality observations and routine checks.
  6. Understand and adhere to policies, procedures, statutory welfare requirements, and Ofsted standards.
  7. Follow procedures in case of emergencies such as fire, lockdown, accidents, and incidents.
  8. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the nursery.
  9. Ensure the nursery meets and exceeds Ofsted requirements.
  10. Uphold a high standard of care throughout the nursery.
  11. Implement and promote the company's Equality policy, ensuring all children, parents, and staff are valued and practices are non-discriminatory.
  12. Monitor safeguarding issues following local authority procedures.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 childcare qualification or higher.
  • At least 6 months of experience in childcare, with training provided.
  • Commitment and passion for delivering outstanding childcare.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Broad knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding.
