Job summary

Pippa’s House Day Nursery Ash Vale is seeking a caring Room Leader to guide and inspire children in a vibrant EYFS environment. You will supervise playroom staff, promote high standards, and allocate children to keycarers, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent care.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Room Leader experience preferred.
  • DBS check required or in place preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote high standards of quality within the nursery.
  • Support and supervise playroom staff with day-to-day duties.
  • Deploy staff to ensure standards are delivered in the rooms.
  • Ensure EYFS requirements are met and keycarer allocations are appropriate.
  • Provide feedback to parents and carers about their child.
  • Develop positive relationships with staff and families.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
  • Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
  • Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately
  • Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents and carers about their child
  • Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
  • Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
  • Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
