Job summary

Delta Hotels by Marriott York is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Attendant to clean and prepare guest rooms to the highest standard. You will respond to guest requests, work with the Housekeeping and Front Office teams, and maintain a consistent, professional service throughout shifts.

The role includes nightly refresh tasks, strict adherence to health and safety practices, and maintaining privacy and property protection while delivering a quality guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest bedrooms, bathrooms and designated areas to a high standard, ensuring rooms are ready for guests.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and work closely with Housekeeping and Front Office teams to support smooth operation.
• Carry out all bedroom cleaning tasks: make beds, change linen and towels, clean bathrooms, replenish amenities, dust and vacuum.
• Assist with Nightly Refresh service between 6pm and 9pm.
• Follow health and safety procedures and use PPE as required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and hygiene at all times and protect guest privacy and hotel property.

Job Description

Clean and maintain guest bedrooms, bathrooms and designated areas to a high standard, ensuring that rooms are presented in accordance with hotel standards and are ready for guests.Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and work closely with the Housekeeping and Front Office teams to support the smooth operation of the department.

Carry out all aspects of bedroom cleaning, including making beds, changing linen and towels, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing guest amenities and supplies, removing rubbish and room service items, dusting, polishing and vacuuming. Check that furniture, appliances and room facilities are clean, present and in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues or damage promptly.

Assist when required with the Nightly Refresh service between 6pm and 9pm, including responding to guest requests. Follow all hotel health and safety, security and housekeeping procedures, including the safe use and storage of cleaning products and equipment. Complete all required training and use appropriate personal protective equipment and safe working practices. Maintain a professional standard of personal presentation, appearance and hygiene at all times. Treat guests and associates with dignity and respect, maintain confidentiality and protect guest privacy and hotel property. Carry out all duties with attention to detail and in accordance with the hotel's quality and service standards.
