Job summary

The NSS Group, through NSS Maintenance, is seeking a Roofer Supervisor to lead reactive and planned roofing projects across the UK. You will supervise teams, ensure safe practices at height, and coordinate cladding, guttering, and roofing tasks for commercial, retail, and industrial sites.

Ideal candidates have IPAF/PASMA/CSCS and a current driving licence, with a focus on quality workmanship and customer service.

Qualifications

• IPAF (1b, 3a, eb)
• PASMA
• CSCS labourer or skilled worker
• First aid certification
• SSSTS qualification
• NVQ in Slating & Tiling/Sheeting & Cladding
• Driving licence required

Responsibilities

• Work in teams on reactive and planned maintenance jobs.
• Work at height safely on a daily basis.
• Carry out cladding, roofing maintenance for commercial, traditional, and industrial properties.
• Perform guttering repairs and replacements.
• Be flexible with hours, occasional weekend work and standby on rota.

£15.50ph - £16.50ph - overtime -time and a half

The Business

NSS Maintenance are a working at height contractor working throughout UK, servicing facilities management clients and the refurbishment industry alike.

Our national coverage operates from four UK depots to offer planned and reactive building fabric maintenance and refurbishment services to commercial, retail and industrial sectors. We currently employee 600 employees directly across the NSS Group and own a fully serviced truck mounted access fleet, which we use in house for reactive and planned maintenance and cleaning requests

Responsibilities of the role

• Working in teams on reactive and planned maintenance jobs
• Working at height safely on a daily basis
• Cladding, Commercial, Traditional & Industrial Roofing maintenance
• Guttering repairs / replacement
• Must be flexible with working hours, working away, early starts, late finishes and some weekends as and when required.
• Availability to be on call on a rota basis
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Pride in workmanship and accountability
• Utilising portable devices to undertake dynamic risk assessments on site and preparing reports on completed works.

• Prior experience in external reactive building maintenance identifying leaks & rectification (pitched roofing, guttering, slating, concrete tiling, flat roofing & commercial sheeted roofs)
