Roofing Operations Manager

Location: Northampton

Pay/Salary: £35,000 – £55,000 per year

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 7am–5pm

Type: Permanent

Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)

We are hiring for a Roofing Operations Manager

We are looking for an experienced Roofing Operations Manager to join our team in Northampton. This is a key leadership role overseeing multiple contracts across the social housing and commercial sectors. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while also driving growth and building strong client relationships.

Duties of a Roofing Operations Manager

In this role you will be working within the operations team to ensure the smooth delivery of roofing contracts. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for:

• Managing day-to-day delivery of multiple roofing contracts (planned and responsive works)
• Overseeing site teams and subcontractors to ensure effective performance and standards
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures
• Attending client meetings, providing updates, and building strong stakeholder relationships
• Working with commercial teams to manage costs, variations, and contract performance
• Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring works meet agreed specifications
• Supporting project planning, programming, and handovers
• Identifying opportunities for new business and helping grow the roofing department

Skills and Experience of a Roofing Operations Manager

As a Roofing Operations Manager, you must have:

• Proven experience in a Roofing Operations Manager role
• Strong knowledge of pitched and flat roofing systems and techniques
• Experience working on social housing contracts or public sector frameworks
• Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
• Good understanding of H&S legislation, CDM regulations, and site compliance
• Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and drive performance
• Full UK driving licence

It would be beneficial if you also had:

• Additional management or leadership training
• Experience in business development and client account growth
