Job summary

The NSS Group is seeking a Roofers Mate to work alongside experienced roofers on reactive and planned maintenance across commercial, retail, and industrial sites. This hands-on role offers development opportunities and a path to a long-term career in roofing and working at height.

You will learn on the job, support roofing works, and help deliver safe, high-quality repairs daily. Fully equipped vehicle and training are provided as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Willingness to work at height and learn a skilled trade.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Prior roofing or trades experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a team on reactive and planned roofing maintenance.
• Assisting with cladding, commercial, traditional, and industrial roofing works.
• Supporting guttering repairs and replacements.
• Working safely at height on a daily basis.
• Completing on-site risk assessments and job reports using mobile devices.
• Delivering a professional, customer-focused service.
• Being flexible with start times, travel, and occasional weekend work.
• Participating in an on-call rota where required.
• Continuously learning new skills and methods on site.
