Job summary

Apex Search and Selection Limited is seeking a Reactive Roof Repairs Labourer to support roofing operatives across domestic, commercial, and industrial properties. You will assist with repairs, handle materials, and help maintain safety and quality standards on site.

The role requires outdoor work in all weather, a good level of fitness, and reliable teamwork. Training and progression opportunities are available within the company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a construction or roofing labouring role.
• Understanding of basic construction site health and safety practices.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good level of physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling activities.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred or essential depending on company requirements).

Responsibilities

• Assist roofers with reactive repair works to various roof types, including pitched, flat, slate, tiled, and metal roofing systems.
• Load, unload, transport, and prepare roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
• Set up and dismantle access equipment, ladders, barriers, and safety systems in accordance with health and safety requirements.
• Remove damaged roofing materials and clear debris from work areas.
• Carry out basic roofing labouring tasks under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment at all times.
• Conduct site housekeeping and waste disposal in accordance with company procedures.
• Work safely at height and comply with all Health & Safety regulations.
• Assist with emergency call-outs and temporary weatherproofing works when required.
• Communicate professionally with customers, tenants, and colleagues.
• Complete paperwork, timesheets, and photographic records as required.
• Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are kept clean and serviceable.
