Position - Roofing Construction Manager

Area - South East/London

Salary - £55-65,000 DOE

As a Construction Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of refurbishment projects from an operational and on-site perspective, including liaising with the main contractor, overseeing build quality, and labour production in all types of roof & cladding systems.

Responsibilities:

• Build strong and lasting relationships with clients.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of individual projects.
• Resolve on-site issues promptly.
• Oversee and manage all labour/sub-contractors associated with each project.
• Ensure onsite Health & Safety compliance.
• Produce and submit required RAMS.
• Conduct Toolbox talks.
• Ensure build quality meets the highest standards, optimizing QA procedures.
• Monitor and report progress against the construction programme, addressing problems as they arise.
• Ensure the latest drawings are used for construction and properly issued to the site team.
• Verify all construction works are carried out according to drawings and specifications.
• Liaise with the design department to schedule and order materials to meet project requirements.
• Survey, schedule, and order materials as required.
• Understand project budgets and work within them, liaising with the QS.
• Organize and maintain access machinery and scaffolding, ensuring correct certification.
• Conduct site surveys from ground and roof level.

Qualifications required:

• SMSTS - CITB Qualification.
• IPAF ticket.
• First Aid training.
• Full UK driving license.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ 6 if not already held.
