Job Description:

Up to £60k plus Van & Fuelcard

As a construction manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of refurbishment projects from an operational and on-site perspective, including liaising with the main contractor, overseeing build quality and labour production in all types of roof systems, cladding systems, rainscreen, and curtain walling.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building strong and lasting relationships with clients.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of individual projects.
  • Resolving on-site issues promptly.
  • Overseeing and managing all labour/sub-contractors associated with each project.
  • Ensuring on-site Health & Safety compliance.
  • Producing and submitting required RAMS.
  • Carrying out Toolbox talks.
  • Maintaining high build quality standards, optimizing QA procedures.
  • Monitoring and reporting progress against the construction programme, addressing problems as they arise.
  • Ensuring the use of up-to-date drawings for construction and proper issuance to the site team.
  • Ensuring all construction work aligns with drawings and specifications.
  • Liaising with the design department to schedule and order materials to meet project requirements.
  • Surveying, scheduling, and ordering materials as required.
  • Understanding and working within project budgets, liaising with the QS.
  • Organizing and maintaining access machinery, scaffolding, safety nets, and handrails with proper certification.
  • Carrying out site surveys from ground and roof levels.
