Job summary

Decron Ltd. is seeking a Technical Surveyor to join the Technical Department. You will conduct roof surveys on new and existing buildings, translate findings into technical designs, and coordinate construction drawings with the Draughtsman before materials procurement.

The role is field‑based and demands confidence working at height, plus deliverables in office and site environments, ensuring accurate measurements and efficient order placement across multiple live projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in surveying/technical/design within metal roofing or cladding
• Experience producing or coordinating construction drawings for roofing/cladding packages
• Proficient in metal roofing systems and materials scheduling
• Valid UK driving licence and ability to travel across the UK

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed roof surveys on new-build, refurbishment and re-roofing projects
• Produce survey notes, sketches and photographic records on site with precise measurements
• Translate survey data into technical designs and system layouts
• Brief the Draughtsman and review drawings for accuracy before issue
• Manage material schedules, orders and supplier quotations to align with project budgets
• Coordinate with Plant & Logistics for delivery scheduling and site storage
