Job summary

Fortem is recruiting a permanent Roofer to join the Amplius Social Housing group on the responsive repairs and maintenance team. You will handle slate, tile, pitched and flat roofs across a patch spanning Northamptonshire to Leicestershire, with travel required and a company van provided.

You will perform reactive maintenance and ensure high standards with limited supervision, while adhering to safety guidelines and budget constraints.

Qualifications

PASMA trained and experience of carrying out scaffold inspections.
H&S and working at height certificate or NVQ in Roofing, or equivalent experience will be considered.
Full UK Driving licence (max 5 points).
No recent driving bans and must be able to pass basic DBS check.
Desirable: experience in a Responsive Repairs role in Social Housing.

Responsibilities

Carry out predominantly reactive maintenance on a wide variety of roof types (residential and communal).
Repair and renew guttering, work on scaffolds and carry out scaffold inspections.
Ensure work is undertaken to a high standard with minimal supervision; diagnose faults and report follow-on works.
Take ownership to achieve First Time Fix while staying within budget and time parameters.
Operate within Health and Safety guidelines and stay up to date with technical and legal requirements.
