Job summary

Together Housing Group in Calderdale is seeking an experienced Roofer to deliver repairs and maintenance across our properties, focusing on safety and high-quality workmanship. You will perform a wide range of roofing tasks and provide excellent customer service.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and proven roofing/building repairs experience. We offer a competitive package and supportive working environment.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Proven experience across roofing and building repairs.
• Experience delivering excellent customer service.
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
• Basic IT and mobile tech skills for managing work orders.
• Good literacy and numeracy for accurate tickets.
• Ability to multi-skill in related trades such as plastering.
• Preferred qualification: City & Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate in Roofing or NVQ Level 2+.

Responsibilities

• Carry out roofing repairs on tenanted and vacant properties to high quality standards.
• Aim for Right First Time repairs, completing in one visit where possible.
• Measure materials accurately and procure cost-effectively.
• Deliver outstanding customer care, keep sites clean, and communicate professionally.
• Carry out risk assessments before starting work for safety and welfare.
• Diagnose problems and perform repairs efficiently within resources.
• Manage company vehicles, tools and materials and report defects.
