Job summary

Together Housing Group in Calderdale is seeking an experienced Roofer to deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance across our housing stock. You will work across multiple locations in the Calderdale area, on tenanted and vacant properties, with a focus on safety and customer service.

The role offers a starting salary of £33,758 per year, 37 hours per week, a van for personal use, LGPS pension, and various holiday entitlements.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Proven experience across roofing and building repairs.
• Experience delivering strong customer service.
• Ability to complete repairs in one visit where possible.
• Solid knowledge of Health & Safety regs for building work.
• Basic IT/mobile skills for work orders and communication.
• Multi-skill in related trades such as plastering.
• Desirable: City & Guilds Advanced Craft in Roofing or NVQ Level 2+.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all types of roofing repairs to tenanted and vacant properties with high quality and compliance to tickets and Building Regulations.
• Work with a Right First Time approach, completing repairs in one visit where possible.
• Measure materials, procure cost-effectively.
• Provide outstanding customer care and protect tenants’ homes.
• Undertake risk assessments prior to starting work.
• Diagnose problems and perform repairs efficiently.
• Maintain company vehicles/tools, report defects as required.
