Job summary

Together Housing Group in Calderdale is seeking an experienced Roofer to join our team. The role focuses on roofing repairs and maintenance across our properties, ensuring safety, quality, and excellent customer service.

You will work across a range of locations with a typical 37-hour week, Monday to Saturday, earning a starting salary of £33,758 per annum. Benefits include 27 days holiday rising to 32 and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme. A company van is provided for work use.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence is required.
• Proven experience in roofing and building repairs.
• Experience delivering good customer service.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to building work.
• It skills for managing work orders and communication.

Responsibilities

• Carry out roofing repairs on tenanted and vacant properties to high standards.
• Follow a Right First Time approach and complete repairs in one visit where possible.
• Measure materials needed and manage procurement cost-effectively.
• Deliver excellent customer care and maintain site cleanliness.
• Perform risk assessments before starting work for health and safety.
• Diagnose problems and complete repairs efficiently with sensible use of time and materials.
• Look after company vehicles, tools and report defects as required.
