Durham County Council is seeking a Building Craft Operative to carry out roofing duties as part of the Repairs and Maintenance Service. Candidates must hold an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in roofing and have experience in a similar commercial role.
The position offers a competitive salary of £36,040 p.a. along with generous holidays and a pension scheme. Duties include multi-skilling in general building tasks and travel to locations within County Durham.

The hours worked are 39 per week, 2 of which accrue as up to 12 stand‑down days per year, to be taken as directed by management.

Due to the requirement to drive a County Council vehicle in these roles, appointment will be subject to the production of a valid driving licence for the required category of vehicle and the satisfactory completion of an in‑house Driver Induction Assessment.
