Job summary

MD Group, based near Devizes, seeks an experienced Roofer to join the field team. You will operate across Devizes, Marlborough and Pewsey, assessing roof repairs, delivering high-quality workmanship and reporting needs for follow-up work.

The role is full-time, on the road, with competitive pay and benefits. You will hold a main trade qualification and valid UK driving licence, with Health & Safety certificates required.

Qualifications

• One main trade qualification (NVQ 2/3 or City & Guilds) is required.
• Current Health & Safety Training certificates (Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, Manual Handling & Risk Assessments).
• Ability to use equipment and processes after training.
• Experience delivering high quality services to a diverse range of customers.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify roofing/guttering repairs required, including chimney/flashing repairs.
• Perform first-time or temporary repairs where possible; report further works.
• Identify safe working platforms and conduct risk assessments in line with safety rules.

• From £16.00 - £19.00 per hour (£33,280.00 - £39,520.00 per annum) depending on skills and experience
• Up to 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)

The Role of a Roofer:

We have an opportunity for an experienced Roofer to work in and around the Devizes, Marlborough and Pewsey area. You will be able to work independently, assessing and identifying roofing/guttering repairs required, also chimney/flashing repairs and be able to do pointing and flaunching. Completing adequate repairs. where you can, as a first-time fix or temporary repair. Reporting back further works that are required. Identifying suitable requirements for safe working platforms to complete the works safely. Conducting risk assessments and following all Health & safety rules and regulations.

• One main trade qualification (or time served trades experience) e.g. NVQ 2, NVQ 3, City & Guilds.
• Current Health & Safety Training certificates (including, but not limited to, Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, Manual Handling & Risk Assessments)
• An understanding and be able to use effectively (after training) equipment and processes which may be reasonably required by the Company
• Experience and a passion for delivering high quality services to a diverse range of customers
